Eventually In “Eventually”, Arantxa Stephanie reflects on an important phrase in American history which declares this country’s aspiration to be a “city upon a hill”.  Originally from John Winthrop’s 1630 sermon and later part of Ronald Reagan’s 1988 State of the Union Address, both speeches compel their audience to behave as an example of democracy to a watching world. As the federal government continues to embarass its consituents, local governments have become the a stronghold for community strategies to survive a capitalist economy that continues to punt the American dream. This chair is a place of rest and reverance for that dream. For the American Proletariat, dreaming is all we’ll have.
